Civili-Tea with Mount Vernon and The Jefferson

George Washington’s Mount Vernon and The Jefferson in Washington, DC will be presenting a series of exclusive teas featuring a lively discussion about civility.

Each tea features a host or hostess from Mount Vernon who shares stories and advice from the past for elegant entertaining today.

On select dates, The Jefferson’s in-house historian, Susan Sullivan Lagon, PhD. will also be on-site to add her own expertise.

These events will take place at The Jefferson on March 22, April 5 and April 26.

Thrillist: DC’s Best Hotel Bars That Locals Love

Quill at The Jefferson was recently included on a list of the best hotel bars in Washington, D.C.

Live piano music, cocktails that change monthly, and an outdoor terrace where it’s possible to enjoy a glass of cognac… Quill isn’t shooting for mediocre here. You’ll find some really creative creations here with ingredients like ube, but they also have a great wine list.

Travel and Leisure Names The Jefferson the Top Hotel in DC

Founding Fathers Feud at The Jefferson

Adding to the excitement of Hamilton’s run at The Kennedy Center this summer, The Jefferson is getting in on the fun with its own “Founding Fathers Feud” experience.

The hotel will be pitting Thomas Jefferson against Alexander Hamilton in a series of events. They are also providing guests with a guide to touring the city to visit places where Hamilton and Jefferson have been memorialized.
