Spring is always a wonderful time of year to be in Washington, D.C. The cherry blossoms are looking gorgeous and Dog Tag Bakery has whipped up some special treats to celebrate the season. Stop by the cafe in Georgetown for a treat as you are walking around the city to enjoy everything that is in bloom.
Dog Tag Bakery treats will be featured at Nationals Park during this coming season as part of an expansion of food options at the ballpark.
New Food Offerings: Nationals Park’s new food vendors this season will include CHIKO, DC Empanadas, Hank’s Oyster Bar, Harris Creek Oyster Co., Rappahannock Oyster Co., Medium Rare and a Caviar concession stand featuring a rotating selection of local restaurants. The park also will serve Civic Vodka and desserts from Dog Tag Bakery.
Today, the Dog Tag family is celebrating the birthday and life of the late Father Rick Curry, SJ.
I co-founded Dog Tag Bakery with Father Curry in 2014. We were the match made in heaven – the Jesuit father and the Jewish godmother. Father Curry’s life was dedicated to serving others, and I’m honored to have called him a friend.

The bakery and cafe doubles as a non-profit that serves as a “living business school” for veterans looking to enter the civilian workforce. It’s also a tasty stop for coffee, baked goods, and sandwiches.
